Nursery Worker (Adult)
Job Description
Provide a welcoming and safe environment for children aged 0-2 years old.
Volunteer Responsibilities
On Sunday morning, arrive by 8:00 (1st service), 9:30 (Sunday School) or 10:20 (2nd service) to be prepared to receive children into the nursery.
Communicate any helpful pointers to your Jr helper.
Welcome each child and parent as they enter the room with a smile. (Children should have checked in and have a nametag)
Always check nametags for allergies before handing out any snacks.
At dismissal, greet parents at the door and call children to the door to release them to parents with matching labels. (No child leaves unattended and all parents/guardians must have a matching name tag or the child will not be released!) If anyone has misplaced their nametag, grab assistance from the Check-In Volunteer.
After children are picked up, pick up the room & wipe down all surfaces.
Respond to scheduling requests or find replacement for your position if needed.
