Check-In and Check-Out Station
Job Description
Assist in checking in each student and child as they arrive to NewHopeKIDS.
Answer parents’ questions and contact parents/guardians if needs arise during the service.
Help direct parents to appropriate classrooms during Check-Out process.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Arrive at Check-In Station 30 mintues before your scheduled event.
Check-in all regular attendees and print necessary labels for parent and child.
Collect necessary information for guests and their children.
Have guest fill out information on the provided clipboard or in Check-Ins App.
Monitor any unauthorized attendees attempting to go past the check-in point. (No one is to go past the check-in station without a check-in label or Volunteer Lanyard).
Respond to scheduling requests or find replacement for your position if needed.
Reoccurrence of Serving
Check-In/Out Station volunteers serve once per month (or less).
Volunteers commit to serve in this position for 1 year at a time.
NHCC runs a background check for anyone who works with NHCC children & youth programs. We request a new background check every two years for volunteers who continue to help in these areas. The background check is confidential and has no cost for the volunteer.

Mandated Reporter Training
Any adult volunteer in our children & youth programs is considered a “mandated reporter.” Before serving with children, NHCC requires a free training for volunteers.
Free online training is available through DCFS. Click here to access the training, which takes about 1 hour to complete.
